On Depo. Saw A Gynecologist. Have Spotting, Not Proper Bleeding. Trying To Lose Weight. Suggestions In Diet?
I have been on the Depo shot for about 6 years . I have had no problems thus far and do see my gynecologist every year for an exam. My question is, I notice when I change my diet, meaning...try to start eating healthier( I am over weight and trying to lose some) I notice I will have some spotting for only a day or so. But this time trying to lose weight its almost enough blood to look like I'm having my period. I've had it for a couple days now,but otherwise I have no other symptoms.I feel fine. Is this normal?
Hi, Thanks for your question. Abnormal or irregular bleeding may occur while on Depo shot, but, this is quite unusual for you as you were not having this during these past many years. It is suggested that you should see a Gynecologist & get yourself examined to exclude any local cause of this bleeding & at least have one trans-vaginal ultrasound to see the health status of your womb. Take care.
