On Hydros For Chronic Pain From Carpel Tunnel And Fused Back Disc. On Xanax, Rittilin For Anxiety. How To Get Off Pain Medications ?

My name is AAAA and I am trying to figure out a way to stop taking my pain medications that I have been on for 7 years. I started off taking 2 or 3 10mg hydros per day for chronic pain from carpal tunnel and a fused back disc. I am now taking 4 10mg hydros and 4 30mg Oxycodone every day for the last 3 years. I also take 45mg rittilin per day for adhd and 4mg of Xanax per day for anxiety for the last 30 years. This is something I do need and the rittlin I started 1 year ago and it saved me from being a get nothing done can't focus person to someone that could concentrate on one thing at a time. It was amazing how well it worked for me. But the pain medicine is controlling my life and I have ran out a few times and had to wait for my doctors appointment to get refills. Longest without was three or four days and it was pure hell to say it lightly. the other couple times I ran out was for two or three days and even the first day was hell. i am scared as heck but it is something I mus do. I have enough left for about a 18 day supply at the current rate that I take them and I don't have any refills for the oxy or hydos. Can you please help me with any advice and articles anything would be helpful. I do not have insurance and barely live because I have no money. As when I make a few dollars it goes to my doctor and medications. I don't know were to seek help as everyone wants to get paid upfront which I can't do and it seems like trying to find help (short of committing a crime) which I would never do is impossible. And the government wonders what the problem is. I am about to turn 50 in 4 months and would like to find a life that I have never had and actually know what it is like to smile and laugh. I am single after being married for 25 years and been divorced for 4 years and most likely the loneliest person on the planet. no friends, family, no job because or disability with wrists and back and cant afford the surgery to fix them or I could work some, but I cant find the help to get that done either. I have potential but have given up and think that I don't have anywhere to go from here but heaven. Please help if possible. I live near Branson, MO 0000
PS By trade, I am a certified Cell Phone repair tech and Electronics repair tech and sales. I would love to be able to work again but when you cant feel your hands, its hard to repair something and after 15 mins on the computer they start to hurt so much, I have to take a 30 min break before I can type again. I have no life. AAAA

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
You are taking all the pain medications for quite some time. It is best to change this to a milder pain killer for a few weeks after consulting with your orthopedician and then stop taking the medicine.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. You can consult me again directly through my profile URL http://bit.ly/Dr-Praveen-Tayal
