Dear user, general recommendations is- plavix and aspirin should be stopped about a week prior to any major elective surgery or procedure where there is a serious risk of bleeding because it takes about about a week for blood platelets to recover from the effect of these two drugs but since these drugs are life savers in various cardiovascular diseases they should be resumed as soon as possible. Since you are suffering from coronary artery disease, you must restart aspirin as soon as possible. Kindly consult your cardiologist.
