On And Off Cough, Hoarse Voice, Irritated Throat. Exposed To Passive Smoking. Any Ideas?

Hello, the past couple weeks I would cough once or twice a day on and off but I feel fine... Today out of no where my voice went hoarse and now it's gone and my throat is really bothering me at this point. I do not smoke but unfortunately every Sunday, football Sundays, the people I am surrounded by smoke a lot. What could this be?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
I would come up with these possibilities for this dry cough, these includes.
1 Asthmatic allergic bronchitis, diagnosis can be confirmed by physical as well as clinical examination .In this type of cases usually there develops whistling sound , dry hacking cough.Provoked by mite , fume , smokes , dust .
2 Laryngeal infection added with sinusitis , diagnosis can be confirmed by E N T examination. Throat develops irritation so hoarseness of voice due to allergy and post nasal discharge.
In my opinion consult a physician and get his consultation. Good luck. Dr. HET
