On And Off Hard, Painful Big Lump On Left Side Of Throat While Eating, Pain And Ringing Behind Left Ear With Burning On Tongue. Advice
Hi, for the last few months I have had a golf ball size lump on the left side of me throat. It seems to come in when eating or drinking and the lump sticks around for 15 min to an hour or more. It went from happening every few days to now almost ever time i eat or drink. I'm now experiencing pain and ringing behind my left ear as well. When the symptoms come on I also get a burning/stinging/itchy feeling on the left side of my tongue. The knot is solid and hurts to touch or apply pressure to eat. What are the possible causes and or solutions to this. It's become almost unbearable and affects my eating. Please provide some advise
Hi, From history it seems that you might be having some problem in your salivary gland or ducts. Having infection in salivary duct or stone in the duct can cause blocking of saliva producing swelling during eating or drinking water. Due to pressure symptoms you might get pain, burning, ringing etc. Consult oral surgeon and get examined. Ok and take care.
