On And Off Hot, Itchy ,large, Red Bumps On Arms And Legs With Sting Like Needle Pricks Turning Into Bruises After Few Days. Not Related To Sun. Opinion?
large red raised but smooth swellings on arms and legs. Iniatial reaction feels like sharp sting. not as big as an insect bite but like a very fine needle puncture. Followed my a hot hard smooth swelling which over a mater of hours can become twice or three times the size. it is hot and itchy and eventually after a few days the heat leaves and turns into a large bruise. I can gave one or two in a day then nothing for a week then they op up at irregular intervals. Different sizes usually circular or oval but can vary from half an inch to three inches in diameter. this is not related to sun.
It is possible that you might be suffering from an allergy or contact dermatitis based on the fact that the rashes appear and disappear at will. You need to identify a possible allergen (allergy causing material) around your home that might be responsible. You will need to get the lesions to the dermatologist to examine and determine the specific skin diseases for appropriate treatment to be established. Other possible causes are bacterial, viral, fungal skin infection.
Hope this helps
