On And Off Pain Like Sharp Pinch In Left Side Chest, More With Resting. X-ray, ECG Normal. Possible Chest Muscle Strain?

I bend down two days ago and got a sharp pinch in my chest, left side under the left pec. I went to the er two days later and they did a x-ray and a ecg, all were normal as can be. The pain isnt like chest pain but i am wondering could it be a strain chest muscle or strain muscle fibers. It comes and go the pain. When I move it's not there but when i rest i can feel it.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

A muscle strain would cause pain on movement in a particular direction (depending on the muscle involved).
The pain would not occur at rest.

The fact that the pain occurs at rest and not with activity also makes it less likely to be heart related. This is because the heart works harder when a person is active and heart related pain would more likely occur at this point.

Chest pain can also be related to anxiety, the esophagus ( GERD), the lungs or neuralgia (nerve related pain- usually sharp and sudden).

Since it is at rest it may be due to neuralgia or possibly anxiety.

You may want to consider visiting your doctor for an assessment.

I hope this helps
