On And Off Sharp Pain In Chest, Elevated Heartbeat. Is This Due To Being Overweight?

Lately I will have occasional sharp pain in left part of chest where heart is located. No pain in arm and heartbeat is elevated but is due to me being scared when it hurts. I do get alot of heartburn and acid reflux but do t know if this is the cause. I am 26 male overweight but still active, not as active as I should be. I went to the hospital sometime last year for tingling in left arm but after hooking me up to machine and monitoring me for several hours they said it was pulled muscle in my chest. Please could you give me some onsite on this please to either ease my mind if it is something simple or if I need to go to doctor.

Hi,
From history it seems that this pain is not due to any cardiac cause as you had gone tests to rule out any cardiac ailment.
It seems that you might be having costo-chondritis.
Take some analgesic tablet for few days.
Apply analgesic cream locally.
Ok and take care.
