On Depo Prover Shot, Had Break Through Bleeding. Will I Still Be Able To Get Pregnant With Depo On?
I had been on the depo provera shot for over 10 years straight, an FNP that I had seen took me off of the shot for 2 years and then put me back on it again. During the past 14 years I have had some break through bleeding and maybe 3 full periods, my boyfriend and I are thinking of having a baby, I am currently on the shot again an have been since April, I am 41 will be 42 in January he ll be 42 in April. Will I still be able to get pregnant, my last full period was Dec . of 2012?

HI,
If you want to take a chance for baby, you have to stop taking Depo Provera. For getting normal cycles about 6 months are needed after withdrawal.
Once you get normal periods ,get your ovulation checked.
As you have crossed 40, is advised to have a planned pregnancy under care of an expert Gynecologist.
