Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
On High Fat Diet Since Gall Bladder Removal, Have Indigestion, Bloating, Yellow Particles In Semi-solid Yellowish White Stool. Reason?
I got my gall bladder removed because of cholilithiasis from a high fat diet in December 2010. After that things were normal. Suddenly I have been very constipated or diarrhoeic for the last 2 weeks. For the last 4-5 days I have been experiencing indigestion, gas, bloating and yellow particles in semi-solid yellowish white stool . What could the reasons be? I am no longer eating a high fat diet, and have lost 30 kilos since I got my gall bladder removed.

Chronic constipation in an adult is likely to be due to following 1. Low fibre diet 2. Decreased intake of water 3. Presence of lesion of anus and rectum
Before embarking on blind empirical treatment its advisable to undergo thorough evaluation by General Surgeon/Gastroenterlogist
I would suggest you the following
1. Plenty of oral fluids: 2-3 liter of water a day 2. High fibre diet: 2 servings of vegetable salad and fruits everyday 3. Oral Laxatives
In case you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
Wishing you happy and healthy life
Take Care
