On Hydromorph Contin 12 Nad Hydromorphone. Prescribed Suboxone. Good Replacement For Other Medicines?
I have been on Hydromorph Contin 12 twice a day and Hydromorphone 8mgs 4 times a day I've recently found a pain specialist who has put me on "Suboxone 6mgs once a day. Do you feel that "Suboxone is a good replacement for the other meds and how would you rate it as a painkiller?

Drug use in pain management depends on the type and intensity of pain. You cant take the drug with high dose or with high efficacy if you don't require them. So your doctor is treating you based on the pain and also have planned to reduce and stop the drug. Follow your doctor advice and dont take extra dose as there may be other side effect and problem. The drug given is a good replacement for it.This drug will relieve pain as well as reduce addiction problem and replace the hydromorphone.
