On Pacemaker, Has Lump On Top Of Pacemaker That Seems To Be Increasing. Reason For Occurrence?
My mother has a pacemaker. She has developed a baseball size lump, that is hard as a rock right over the top of the pacemaker. It has become larger and larger over the past month. She is due to visit her Dr. In Feb. but I m insisting she go sooner. The doctor is two hours away. What could be the reason this is occurring?

any swelling over the pace maker and it increase in size must be evaluated as early as possible as pace maker is foreign body may get infection and create problem or local bleeding can occur ,
it is best to consult your cardiologist and get evaluated for same ,
