My period has begun for 14 days already, but I don t want to wait for the next period to take Mercilon tablet. Can I take it now? If yes, then if I want my next period to begin on October 17, can I do that by taking Mercilon continuously from now to October 12th then stop and wait for my next period begin? or what can I do now if I want my period to begin around October 17th? For postponement of menstruation, you will have to start one pill daily. These pills should be started at least 7 days prior to the expected date of menstruation. Continue taking the pills till you want the menses to be postponed. After discontinuing the pills, you will get withdrawal bleeding after about 4-7 days.
Do if you want the period to appear on October 17, discontinue the pills around October 12th or so. the pills on October 10th. You cannot guarantee thet the periods will come exactly on October 12; usually the periods appear about 4-7 days after discontinuing the pills.
The other alternative is taking 2 pills daily, starting at least 3 days prior to the menses. This dose may cause more nausea, vomiting and breast heaviness.
