On What Basis Of Test Can Risk Of Carrying A Down Syndrome Baby Be Determined?
Hello... I am 23 years old and am 14 weeks pregnant. LMP= Dec 4 2010. My results are as follows: NT=2.5mm, CRL=75mm, Beta HCG= 0.92 MoM, PaPP-A= 0.8 MoM. What is the NT result in MoM and what is my risk for carrying a down syndrome baby? thank you
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. The NT of your fetus is within normal values, and so are the PAPP-A and beta hCG MoMs. When all the three parameters are normal, then the risk of having Down syndrome in the fetus is extremely low. I suggest you not to worry. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
