Once you are diagnosed as pre diabetic due to genetics (I am 58yrs. old, 5'7, 135lbs.), have watched my
diet all of my adult life; exercise regularly; stopped eating pasta, potatoes, rice, bread, pizza, etc. six years ago, due to my husband's need to loose weight- We mainly eat protein and vegetables, some berries and nuts. What should I focus on to get my A1c number down? It is currently 5.9.
