I am a light skinned hispanic female 50 years, I noticed when I woke up this morning one of my elbow is very dark and and funny looking. I went to the ER and they ran blood work with nothing showing than my glucose level as high. They were not sure why the elbow discolored, almost black. I did not injured it. can you give me some answers?
Hi...dear user..,
Thanks fr choosing HCM..,
Darkening of the elbow ....usually due to..,
depriving of blood circulation in that part..,
Cause may be ...Capillary damage of that part..,
due to Diabetes, Hypertension and Chronic debilitated conditions..,
So first evaluate the cause....by doing...Blood ...Hb%, ESR, Glucose level..,
thanQ
hi welcome to H.C.M.Forum. it could be due to capillary bleeding in diabetics. hypertension also is one of the causes for it. it needs to be thouroughly checked. though not harmful now on long run it may become diffecult. thank you
