One Week Ago I Was Trimming A Bougainvillea Tree And

One week ago I was trimming a Bougainvillea tree and had a thorn from a falling branch hit (more than a prick) my forehead. Currently I have a swollen area where the thorn hit my forehead. The swollen area is the size of a pea and firm. I am wondering if this will diminish over time?
