Our son 33, and his wife, 30 are having their first baby beginning to mid Jan/2017 in Santa Cruz, California. His wife is an RN for an after surg center. They want my husband, 74 yrs old, and myself 76 yrs old (married 49 yrs) to get the D-TAP booster again. John, husband, got his D-Tap booster 2008 and I got mine 2010. I have phoned our Dr office twice on this & the front desk chked our charts on these years and checked with one of the PA's or Dr's at UCD in Auburn and stated the D-tap is good for life, except if we got an injury, we might need to get the Tetnus shot again. What are the problems that might occur, if we get another D-Tap booster, at our ages? Do we need to get the D-Tap booster again, now? Are there complications with getting these boosters again, anyway? We do not mind doing them again, but do not want something to occur to our health, also. Wonderful that you are there to answer us, thank you. Neva & John Walasek
