Overweight, Heartburn, MS. On Betaseron. Had An EKG. What Is Wrong?
Hi! I am a 61 year old female. I am 5"6 inches and overweight. 190 lbs. I had an EKG today and the technician said it showed low voltage. ??? she ran another strip and said it was ok but of course she can not diagnose. I do have MS.but no other symptoms of heart problems.... I am a double D breast size and was told it is sometimes hard to get a reading if obese. I am concerned because this will decide if I will be able to be approved for an oral drug to treat my MS. I am hoping for an ok report from the doctor. Do you think I should be concerned about this? I do have heartburn randomly because of mega dose of D3....hope that is the reason and not my heart. I have been on betaseron for 4 years... thanks for the info. prob just need piece of mind.
Respected Ma'm 1. MS is multiple sclerosis or mitral stenosis ? 2. Low voltage ECG is known to occur with obese individuals, pericardial effusion (water around heart), lung diseases, thickening of heart covering (constrictive pericarditis) and at times as a normal variant. The best judge is your clinician. Do not worry much as you can not help this. Lets wait for his opinion and hope for the best. Sincerely Sukhvinder
