PCOS Diagnosed, Prescribed Diane35. How Long The Medication Should Be Taken?
Hi, I was diagnosed with PCOS and the doctor prescribed Diane35 for three months. While on the pill, my periods were regular but once I completed the treatment 4months passed before I had my period. I am on the pill again but my question is For how long should I take the pill this time? I am sailing and unable to see a doctor at the moment so I would really appreciate your help. Alli.
Hi, this time the solution is not the taking the same pill again. as you describe the periods were regular due to the effect of the pills, but not as the disease is corrected. So i advise you to consult your doctor for diagnosis and treatment. If P.C.O.S. is not cured then he will change the pills. Thank you.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M.Forum. Diane 35 ( cyproteone acetate ) is a good drug for PCOD cases . Actually this drug should be taken till 3 or 4 cycles after condition has resolved . So consult your treating gynecologist and he will assess the condition whether pcod resolved or not. Since you are having problems so continue the treatment as previous. Good luck. Dr. HET
