Pain And Pressure On Clitoris After Vaginal Delivery. UTI Or Catheter Infection?
Hi, I gave birth vaginally jan. 27th and had a 2nd degree tare. It was very painful the first week to pee. I would cry every time. Now I m having alot of pain and pressure on my clitoris while trying to pee and it makes me tense up so I can t go all the way. Right after its itchy and just plain painful. It feels like someone was punching me down there? Does this sound like a uti or make a catheter infection? Thanks!
Child birth does bring joy but slight complications can lead to alot of discomfort, I sympathise with you. Firstly I presume that the tear was repaired. The burning sensation during urination might be due to urine cont act with the wound.
When a wound heals slight itching sensation is felt around the area. But since this is in the genital area we need to be cautious. I suggest that you meet your doctor since it is already a week and your discomfort should have decreased.
Were you put on a urinary catherter ? if yes, we could be looking at a UTI.
