Pain And Swelling In Ears, Earring Tightly Pushed And Hard Around The Ear. Help

Hi, I have a problem with the earring in my ear. I've had it pierced for about a month and I woke up today and noticed that my ear really hurt and the front of the earring was pushed really tightly around my ear. I tried to loosen it but I found out my ear is really swollen but also hard on the inside around where the post is. I can't get the earring off because it hurts too bad to touch it. What should I do?

With little information and as per the history you have given and the clinical findings you may be suffering with perichondritis of the pinna. Immediately you need start broad spectrum antibiotic. Like tab ciprofloxacin/ Tab Cifpodoxime along with analgesics and antiinflamatory drogs. do local dressing of the wound. if possible try once again to take out the ear rings.
But still I would suggest you to consult the Specialist if you don’t get relief as on examination the findings may be different and line of treatment may have to be changed. Please don’t hesitate to consult and ask for any more query. i will be pleased to answer.
