Pain And Unable To Straighten Arms After Working Out In Biceps Too Hard. Remedy?

My daughter worked out her biceps a little too hard and 2 days later she can't straighten her arms and is in a lot of pain. We think she didn't drink enough water after and didn't recover her muscles well. What is the best thing to do to help her get comfortable and reduce her tight bicep muscles? She basically is a T-Rex and literally cried when straightening her arms.

Hi Dear

She has worked enthusiastically with her biceps now the muscle has gone soar and developed severe muscular spasm.

Leave it, as it is, do not try to straighten it forcefully.
Forcefully straightening may cause further problem.

Hot fomentation,
Extra oral rehydration solution,
Some muscle relaxant medicine will relax it in 3 or 4 days.
Physiotherapy will also be helpful.

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
The symptoms you have described are more likely to be symptoms of muscles strain.
To get relief from the pain and for quick healing:
1. Do hot fomatation at the site.
2. Apply local anti-inflammatory gel 2-3 times a day.
3. Take anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen to reduce pain and local swelling or inflammation.
4. Do not lift weight or try to do exercise that involve painful muscles. Give proper time for the injury to heal.
