Pain And Weakness In The Limbs And Lower Back. MRI Revealed Disc Protrusion. Precautions For Surgery?
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM. As you have weakness in both lower limbs, there is no role for conservative management in your case. You have to undergo surgical decompression of the disc in the form of either Microlumbar discectomy or Endoscopic discectomy. If you leave the problem untreated, you may develop permanent weakness in the involved muscle groups. Hope this information is helpful. Good day
