Pain Below Ears When Eating Hard Substance, Had Prolonged Sneezing And Sinusitis
Hi Doctor, I have pain beneath the ears, exactly at the joint between the jaw with that of ear on both the sides. Also i experience pain when i eat something hard. I am not sure if thats related to dental problem. I can assume that this pain is due to prolonged sneezing and sinusitis problem. I am taking medicines like antibiotics and levocetrizine daily for the past ten days as per a doctors suggestion. I did not recover from the pain still completely.
Hi, From history it seems that you might be having lax TM joint muscles giving rise to pain while chewing hard stuff. consult oral surgeon and get examined. Avoid chewing hard stuff and keep your hand on the TM joint while yawning. Ok and take care.
In continuation with above advises, I would like to say that from history it appears more to be a TMJ related pain and you must follow what you have been advised by the dentists.
In addiction to that I can advise you to take some warm fomentation around your TM joint and eat soft diet.
If you are taking antihistamines, your nasal complaints must be settled.
If still the complaints persist, I would advise you to please consult the doctor in person and may be get some radio logical tests done for support.
Thanks,
