Pain Below Knee Cap, No Injury, Pain On Squatting. Causes?

I am 29 years old fairly active and both of my knees have pain right at the bottom of the knee cap. I have not done anything I know of to injure them. My right knee started hurting last fall and my left one started about a month later. They hurt when squating but once stretched out a little like before bowling or playing softball feel ok for he rest of the time usually. What is most likely the probable cause?

Hi,

Welcome to healthcaremagic.

There are numerous inflammatory conditions which cause pain in such large joints.

Some of them being Rheumatoid arthritis, gout, Osteoarthritis etc.

A detailed examination by a specialist will surely help to identify the cause.

Do consult a Orthopedician for the same.

Wish you good health
