Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I felt a sharp pain in my side while playing basketball a week ago. It is above the pelvis but below the ribs, directly in my right side in an area about the size of a playing card. I can function normally but have trouble doing things like pulling down a garage door, and rolling over in bed. Coughing and forced bowel movements are somewhat painful too. It hasn't improved much though it hasn't gotten any worse either. I'm pretty convinced it is some muscle pull or strain but would like to get a second thought on it as well as some kind of treatment idea.
Thanks.
