Pain Down Right Leg, Two Injections Taken, Prescribed Amitriptyline. Is This Wrong Medication ?
I had a two injections to day one nerve root block and one other .My problem was pain down my right leg and pins 2and needles in my right foot.I was prescribed AMITRIPTYLINE 25 mg and when I checked this medication on the net I was very worried reading its usage did my pain doctor prescribe the wrong pain relief for me
hi, for your comfort doctor has prescribed amitriptyline, this is drug used when few usual pain relief drugs dont work for you. no problem in using for short term pain relief. pins and needles sensation indicates pain of neuronal origin (amitriptyline is used for neuronal pain relief) , hence doctor has prescribed right one.
wish you good health .
