Pain In Bladder After Peeing. Feels To Pee More. Is This Bladder Infection?
Hi, could I have a bladder infection? I've been experiencing pain in my bladder after emptying my bladder after peeing, then getting a pain like feeling like I need to still pee when I can't and sometimes through the day I get a pressure in my bladder and feel I need to urinate more often so could I be going through a bladder infection?
Hello
Welcome To health care Magic
Several different bladder problems can cause pain. The three most common causes of bladder pain are interstitial cystitis, urinary tract infection, and bladder cancer.
In Urinary track infection these are the symptoms
Pain or burning during urination
Urgent need to urinate
Pain or tenderness in the abdomen
Cloudy, bloody, or foul-smelling urine
Low-grade fever Frequent urination or urgent need to urinate
Difficulty passing urine.
You Should do following test to rule out the cause
Urine R/E.
Urine Culture.
Cystoscopy
I hope you are satisfied with the answer.
Have a great day.
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Pain in bladder, difficulty during urination and urgency suggest Urinary Tract infection (cystitis). However, Bladder stones and Prostatic inflammation or enlargement in males should also be ruled out.
Take plenty of water and drink cranberry juice.
Visit your doctor and get labs like CBC, urinalysis, urine culture. Once UTI is diagnosed then it can be treated with proper antibiotics.
Hope it helps.
Take care!
how old are you? As other doc. have answered rightly, if you are 40 years or older ,then prostate could also be one of the causes besides uti or with uti.In that case, ultrasound for bladder and prostate, residual urine might contribute to other investigations as advised by specialist physician/urologist
