Pressure In Lower Abdomen, Strain Passing Stools, Urinating Frequently. Is This Infection Or STD?
I have pressure in my lower abdomen like I am backed up. I have had a couple of bowel movements but strain to produce little result. Now it feels as if I am urinating more frequently and if I strain to push out urine or to force bowel movement it causes extreme pain in lower abdomen and can't sting throughout the penis. Is this an infection or could it be an STD? I have been married 8 years and my wife and I are faithful so not sure how that could be the case.
Lower abdominal pain, urinating problems and pain around the anus can be caused by prostate inflammation. Other parts of urinary tract infection can also be inflamed and causing such symptoms. Typical symptoms of urinary tract infection are pain or burning while urinating, frequent urinating (especially during the night), lower abdominal pain, pain in the back, pain radiating to the groin, fever. If the pain has started suddenly, urinary tract stones are also possible.
I suggest you to visit your doctor and have urine analysis, abdominal ultrasound and rectal examination. In case of prostate pain during the rectal examination, urologist consult is necessary.
In a meanwhile you should drink plenty of mineral water and use cranberries supplements. Hot bath can help with the pain.
Hope this will help. Regards.
