Pain In Abdomen And Lower Rib Cage, Inconsistent Bowel Movements, Weight Loss, Feeling Full. Any Ideas?
My abdomen and lower rib cage feel bruised like I fell on my abdomen. There is a constant pressure feeling on my right lower rib cage up front and in back and i'll get this really painful sharp stabbing pain in my right shoulder every once in a while. The pain in my ribs is constant though. My bowel movements are inconsistent going from loose to hard all the time. I don't eat nearly as much as I used to and have lost 10 pounds in three months. I feel full after only eating a little bit. It also hurts my abdomen when someone hugs me from behind. Any ideas?
With the explanation i can tell what probably you might have is a Gallbladder related infection, though a clinical examination will be needed. What i would suggest you is to consult a General surgeon. If i would be your treating physician i would recommend some routine lab tests for blood and urine. Then prescribe an antibiotic for a week, then follow up can be planned according to improvement. Hope you find my answer up to your satisfaction. Please feel free to any more quarries. Thanking you Dr Samir
