Pain In Arm And Leg. No Vitamin Deficiency. Family History Of MS. Need To Worry?
I have had a pulsating, radiating pain, seemingly in my bones, in my right arm and hand and right leg for a week. Went to ER and they did bloodwork. No vitamin deficiencies. My mother and sis have b12 deficiency and pernicious anemia, dad has multiple sclerosis. This pain is just like the pain I've had in my legs off and on all my life. Should I be concerned about MS myself?
Hi and thanks for this query. Sorry to hear about what you are experiencing.
Because you have a family history of MS, you should be concerned because your risk is higher than in individuals without this family history. Your symptoms are not suggestive of MS, so don't get worried now.
At times we get pains without any real underlying disease. Try physical measures and maybe some pain killers. They should go away in a couple of days. It repetitive on/off nature further reassures you of its vagueness.
I hope this helps you and ha answered your query. I wish you good health. Dr. Ditah
