Pain In Back Between Shoulder Blades, Chest, Underarms, High BP, Headaches. History Of Tooth Extraction, Numbness After Taking Novacine. Any Connection?

July 2 I had a tooth pulled. Right side bottom. The novacine made both arms go numb. That evening I started having pains across my back between my shoulder blades. The pain moved around to my upper chest and under both arms. My blood pressure went out of control. My legs are wobbly and I have frequent short lived head aches. This has continued and it is now July 20. I have had two EKG's a stress test and numerous blood tests - all normal. Could something have happened during the dental process??? Marge - YYYY@YYYY

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

Novacaine administered for dental procedures usually causes numbness or tingling at the site of injection which last for about 6 hours.
According to your symptoms i suspect that you have developed allergic reactions.
These are less common side effects during dental procedures, but can prove harmful, i would suggest you to visit to the physician and get the checkup done.

Hope this helps out.

Regards...

hello
"oops what all is happening?"don't think like that and please do not panic. novacine is given locally to anaesthetise the nerve supplying to your teeth and not the arms so it has nothing to do with your arms.visit your general physician. get your blood pressure checked again . make it normal and please take rest and some stress relieving drugs but only after consulting your physician.
take care.
hope for your best health and spirits
