Pain In Back Of Ear. Prescribed Muscle Relaxant For Myalgia. Your Opinion?

Hi,
I have this sudden sharp pain from the back of my ear radiating round my ear lobe. This pain comes & goes every few minutes & could last a whole day. I am 53 years of age. I get this once in a while. I have been ignoring it but recently it lasted a whole day. My doctor diagnosed it as Myalglia & prescribed muscle relaxant.
What is your opinion???

May have to check whether it is mastoiditis.
Show to an ENT specialist also.
If it is mastoiditis, you will need a coursecof antibiotics.
