Pain In Back Of Neck, Behind Ears. Doctor Says Wear And Tear. Have Fibromyalgia. Painkillers Not Helping

hi i have had alot of pain in my neck at the base of my skull and behind my ear area, i carnt turn my neck very far i can look up but down hurt, when i go to lie down on my left side the pain it really bad until i put my head on the pillow, my gp says wear and tear i am going to phsyio on monday but im not so sure its that it came on 5 weeks ago and the pain is not getting any better. i have fibromyalger and i am on alot of pain killers but there not helpping this pain.

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having cervical spondilitis producing irritation or pressure on nerves giving you this problem.
Go for x-ray cervical region.
Go for physiotherapy, short way diathermy for few days.
Ok and take care.
