Pain In Body, Specially Hands. History Of Electrocuted With High Tension Line Followed By Coma, 33% Burns, Skin Grafts, Fractured Leg. Normal?
i recently electrocuted with 34,000 from a high tension line spent two months in a coma suffered burns on 33percent of my upper body had skin grafts on my upper arm and arm pit along with a fractured left leg which now has a rod in it.ive had alotof pain since coming home but the last few weeks it seems as if my whole body aches especially my hands is this normal?
I am so sorry to hear about what you experienced but happier knowing you survived this dreadful experience because so many people never make it out of such situations.
From the information you have provided, there are several different reasons why you would be in pain. the extensive nature of the burns, the repaired fracture, skin grafts, etc are reasons that suggest you would have to fight your way out of pains. As you get to use the various body parts again, it would be a whole new experience. The contractures/rigidity from burns and being in coma for 2months wouldn't be that easy to overcome without pains.
Pain is never a normal thing though it is expected in your case. I would not ask you to stay in pain. My advice is that you consult with your doctor and get the medications you need to live a quasi pain free life.
I hope this addresses your query fully and provides guidance on how to follow through with this. I wish you well. Dr. Ditah, MD
