Pain In Both Feet, Sola Raze Gel, Arch Support Not Helping. Podiatrist Advised Surgery. Any Treatment?

I have pain in both feet, worse on right side, that is on top of my instep. There seems to be a knot on top of my foot that aches all the time. Hrd to walk in a.m. Using sola raze gel with not much help. Also had arch support made for my feet. Have gone to podiatrist. Offers surgery which I don't want. What are options ?
I am female, 78 yrs. semi active because of aching feet.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The severe pain in the feet that you are having can be helped to some extent by local steroid injections in addition to the oral anti inflammatory medicines. Do consult an orthopedician for the same.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
