Pain In Breast, Swollen Breast. Prescribed Ampliclox. Infected Milk Glands?

hi am 38 years old woman weight 76kg and last week my i developed a burning pain on my left breast , some days later my breast got swollen and decided to see the doctor, who advised me to go for the scan, and gave some ampliclox, according to the scan the they said my milk glands were swollen infected, my question is how possible is that?

Hi,
The infalmmation & infection of milk gland at age of 38 , is possible without lactation also in certain conditions.
- In case of trauma to breast
-Infection of nipple with retrograde spread to milk gland.
