Pain In Buttocks, Radiating To Feet After Sitting In One Position For Long Time, No Pain On Touching. Cure?
After sitting in one position in a car or kayak for over 2 hours, I start to get pain from my buttocks down to my feet . It seems to have gotton worse over the last year although I have been doing weight training/circuit training 3 times a week and yoga twice a week. It does not hurt doing anything else. There is no pain to touch. There is no pain to walk or run or bike. The pain goes immediately away when I stand up.
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain that you are experiencing is likely to be due to Radiculopathy. This happens due to a nerve root compression at the level of lumbar vertebrae. You need to get it investigated from your orthopedician.
