Pain In Ear. Wet Wax. Suggested Amoxicillin. Problem In Flying?

Hi, I had t-tubes inserted last July. I am a flight attendant and have had pain in one ear on descent today. It's been feeling funny for a few days but only hurt today. I went to see a walk-in centr and they said I had wet wax in my ear which may be blocking it. Gave me amoxicillin. I am due to do 4 flights tomorrow and 4 flights on Monday but can't get to a doctor until Monday morning at the earlier. D you think it is safe for me to fly?

Dear friend.

Thanks for sharing your concern.

Amoxicillin is an antibiotic prescribed to you for ear infection.Ear pain is usually due to infection .

This will control the infection from further increasing.you can take pain killers for pain relief.

This is safe till you visit your ENT specialist. Please remember local application of any medication is not recommended till you see your specialist.

Hope it helps.

Take care.

Thanks
