Pain In Finger Joints With Swelling And Itching In Finger Ends. Prescribed Signoflam For Diagnosed Tendonitis. Right Diagnosis?

Hello Sir,

Since the last few days i am suffering from this strange disease. I feel pain in some of my finger joints . The finger end is swollen. Also find its itching. Seems like heat generated from the ends of the affected places of the finger. It is heighest in the morning when I wake up. My doctor has suggested Signoflam. as he predicts it to be tendonities. is it the right diagonisis ?

Hi,

It might be tendinitis. Usually, such "inflammatory" conditions of the joints are associated with severe pain when waking up in the morning.

Signoflam is a strong anti-inflammatory drug containing a mixture of aceclofenac and paracetamol. They are shown efficient in such health situations.

I would also suggest to get your finger joints exercised.

Usually, I advise my patients to use warm salt (grain and not fine salt) applying to the affected area. However, talk to your doctor if this could be a good alternative to your case as you are saying that your finger joint is swollen (perhaps cold applications are more suitable).

Next, you can discuss with your doctor if you can do an X-ray of the joint to determine what is really causing such problem.

Hope it helped!
