Pain In Groin And Penis After Oral Sex. UTI?

My gf who says she has no STD's and is clean (I believe her) gave me a blow job about 8 days ago. 2 days ago from today I was getting a slight pain in my groin and on the tip and back of my penis, nothing extremely severe pain but a slight burning sensation rather. I'm 100% clean. I have no idea if this could be a UTI or possibly something else. I thought it was a UTI and began drinking lots of water , cranberry juice , the whole bit and the pain subsided. Now it's only on the tip of my penis. Any thoughts Doc?

Hi and thanks for this query.

Oral sex involves touching and to and fro movements.
These alone is enough to cause an inflammatory reaction that would explain the pains you are feeling. It is not typical of a UTI as explained below.

UTI classically presents with pains on urination and frequent urination in small quantities, This is far from what you are describing. It is clearly not a UTI.
Please, give it some time and it will all be okay.

Please, always consider using a means of protection during intercourse to stay clean of STDs. I wish you good health.

Good Day!

Burning sensation during urination maybe a urinary tract infection or urethritis. I would suggest getting a Urinalysis to rule out UTI. If sypmtoms persists you may need to consult a Urologist so he could do a proper physical examination and prescribe the appropriate medication/antibiotics.

Urethritis usually does not go away on it's own and needs to be treated for proper eradication of the offending organism.

I hope i answered your question and good luck.
