Pain In Joints, Fatigue, Auto Immune Disease. Tested Positive For Thyroid And Lupus. Causes For Symptoms?
Hi, I was told I have an auto immune disease but they can t pinpoint which one. I have very achy joints and fatigue . I have tested positive on 1 lupus test and 1 thyroid test. I really don t have much for lupus symptoms so they said I should get a t5 thyroid test. Could this finally explain what s going on? Thanks!

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for your query. Joint pains in young can be due to autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, gout, inflammatory diseases like SLE, bursitis, fibromyalgia, etc. To pinpoint the diagnosis, complete physical examination and investigations like complete blood counts, ESR, RA factor, CRP, serum uric acid, serum creatinine, serum thyroid X-ray and MRI joints from a rheumatologist are needed. You need to consult a rheumatologist for proper treatment.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
