Pain In Left Arm, Unable To Raise Elbow. History Of Diving While Playing Softball. Suggest

I was playing softball this morning and dove for a fly-ball. I fully extended my arm to make the catch but after I got up, I felt pain. I was able to play the rest of the game but as the day continued it hurt significantly more. To give you an idea, i was driving home and i couldn't raise my elbow to rest on the window. Additionally, i cannot raise my left arm in any motion without it being very painful.

Hello,
Welcome at HCM.

It looks from your details that most probably you may have injury to rotator cuff at your shoulder. This can be confirmed only by clinical examination & MRI investigation. At present you should take rest ,keep your arm in a pouch for rest & take an analgesic like advil.
If this pain continue to be there then please consult to your doctor.

With best wishes.
