Hi I have been diagnosed with anky spondylitis...pain In left lower back hip and goes to leg...had back problems before but very mild. ..this is the first time its stayed for 2 months. .happend after crossfit weight training. ..thought it to be disc problem. .but dr checked posture and problem like pain etc Have been fitness instructor and very active 36yrs old. Been put on saaz and micorcid25mg pain still there. Movement a bit better What now? Is my spine going to deteriorate? Regards Sunny

Hello, Thanks for your query.
Continue taking these disease modifying drugs as advised by your doctor. I also suggest you to quit smoking if you smoke. Smoking is generally bad for your health, but it creates additional problems for people with ankylosing spondylitis. Depending on the severity of your condition, ankylosing spondylitis can affect the mobility of your rib cage.
