Pain In Lower Abdomen, Upset Stomach, Diarrhea. Had Operation For Varicose Vein In Abdomen. Suggestions?

Hi i am a 35 year old male, and i am suffering from pain in my lower abdomen it first started 4 days ago, i woke up during the night and felt desperate for the toilet so i went and then the following morning thats when i started feeling pain towards the middle of my lower abdomen.
I feel like i have an upset stomach and have diarrhea but when i go to the toilet i am fine, the pain starts in my lower abdomen and goes right down to the left side of my testicles.
just to give you some of my medical history i have had an operation on my varicose veins on the left side of my abdomen but that was ten years ago.
would appreciate some advise.
thank you very much

Dear friend,

Thanks for posting your query on this website. I can fully appreciate your concern for problem.

Lower abdomen pain radiating to left testis is usually seen in cases of kidney stones, when they pass through the tube (called ureter) connecting kidney to urinary bladder. You should therefore have an ultrasound of kidneys, ureters and urinary bladder done; routine+microscopic examination and culture of urine. You are therefore advised to consult a Urologist for a thorough examination.

Further, your abdominal pain may have nothing to do with surgery.

I am highly optimistic that you will certainly benefit from the advice.

May I assure you that I am always available for your assistance and will try my best to cure your condition to the best of my experience and knowledge.

Please feel free to revert back to me in case of further clarifications, if any.

HAVE A NICE DAY AND A SPEEDY RECOVERY.

Fond Regards,

Dr.(Col) R Karanwal
