Pain In The Eye And Head During A Flight. What Is The Reason And Cure?

Hi
Two days back I had a 1 hour flight journey from Bangalore to Chennai (India).
Suddenly 5 minutes before landing I got pain on one side (right side) of the head and near the eye.
After the landing of flight the pain got reduced but still I am having little pain in that same area of my head.
Couple of years back I have traveled on flight many times, but i never got this problem. This is the first time i am encountering this pain. What could be the reason for this?? which medicine I have to consume to cure this problem? DART tablet will help me??

I read your query regarding pain in eye and headache on right side during flight. After landing the flight this pain gradually subsided.

Here I would like to tell you that such types are pain are associated with change in air pressure with hight. If you are having cold, sinusitis or respiratory tract infection, chances of such episodes are quite high.

As for as prevention and treatment is concern you should-

1- Avoid air travel whenever suffering from cold, If you can't avoid than take nasal decongestant atleast 24 hours before ait travel.

2- Steam inhalation.

3- Tab cetrizine.

4- Tab Paracetamol.

I would like to suggest you to get examine your self by ENT specialist to rule out possible cause for it, and take treatment accordingly.
