Pain In The Knee With Swelling After An Injury. Stiffness In The Morning. Reason?

I had a received a bad tackle at football 3weeks ago and I was in a lot of pain around my knee, swelling was instant and a sharp pain down my calf muscle. After applying hot and cold to the knee the swelling seems to go down and then the next day swells again. Im still in discomfort and always seems to be stiff in the mornings. I still have a pain behind my knee and half way down my calf?

Hello, pain in back of knee and calf may be due to posterolateral corner or other ligament injuries. Continue with cold compress and consult a sport orthopedic to diagnose you and probably get a MRI done. Thank you
