Pain In The Lower Abdomen, Constipation. Diverticulitis?

My lower abdomen hurts & has been for a couple of days. When i sit down it feels tender. It feels like I need to have a bowel movement sometimes & then I can't go. I do go a couple of times in the morning, I think because I take a Metamucil at night. I take an align at noon each day. Today I have eaten very lightly, yogurt, chicken broth, ice cream - hoping this will help; however, I just read that if it's diverticulitis it's better to eat fiber. Do you think I should or just wait & see if it goes away?

hi, diverticulitis is very acute condition where you will have severe pain, probably you may not be able to mail also, it may due to gastrointestinal infection, for that you need antibiotics, antispasmodics and probiotics. please see your physician for this.
