Pain In The Neck, Dizziness And Nausea After A Sports Massage. What Can Be Done?
Hi, my girlfriend has been dizzy and nauseous since yesterday evening. She went on a rollercoaster a few months ago where she got shaken about a lot and hurt her ear. Her neck has also been very achy and she has had dizzy spells since then. The only thing that has alleviated her symptoms previusly has been a sports massage on her neck. The dizzy spell last night was more severe than usual and she is off work today as a result of it continuing.
Dizziness can be caused due to cervical spine of due to inner ear problems. Things to be seen are, does she have any hearing problem, if answer is yes, go to ENT specialist immediately. If answer is no, you can relax, it is only cervical spasm. She needs some moist heat, with soft cervical collar for a few days as a rest. Give her some muscle relaxant and also medication dizziness.
